Inside the Clinic: The Coffee Edition

Each week, our Executive Director, Anne-Lise Quinn, sends out a Clinic Update to the staff. In an effort to keep our wider community updated about the happenings inside Culmore Clinic, we will be posting an annotated version of this update to our blog each week under the Inside the Clinic tag.

Good Day, Community!

And welcome to another rainy day! 

I hope you all got a chance to join us on Tuesday morning for Coffee at Culmore – our annual Open House event which we did virtually, of course! If you missed it, there’s still time to experience it on demand. Just go here to register and you’ll emailed a link to access it.

A BIG thank you to the Events Sub-committee - Lorraine Creely, Kathy Haller, Linda Jouvanis, Terry O’Hara Lavoie, Daphne Papamichael, Fran Sienkiewicz, and Claudia Wicks) for pulling it together –  a small, but mighty team that loves to bring pizzazz to our events (and a lot of merriment to the process!).

Another BIG thank you to Tom Gillaspy, videographer extraordinaire who is yet another gift to us from First Christian Church!  And also, to two wonderful humans behind the scenes – Jessica Mojica and Kendra Rubinfeld – who publicized the event and connected the technological dots.

For all the other dear folk who participated – Rev. Andrew Merrow, Rev. Steve Moore, Imam Naeem Baig, Sam Simon, Dr. Boland, Pedro Turina, and Barbara Weingold – thank you also for taking the time to help us pull this off!

Some data from the event:

  • We had 83 people sign up

  • We sold 14 coffee cups (go check them out – they’re one-off, historical pieces that you will regret not having)

  • We also raised $1,500 (not the main reason for the Open House – we really take this opportunity to welcome folks into our healthcare “home” and show them the amazing work you all do – but it sure is nice to get these gifts!)

Some other interesting data is that as a result of the event, we saw an 86 percent increase in our daily website visits and had 266 unique visitors check out the website!

Did you know that this week is National Nurse Practitioner Week? We have some of the BEST nurse practitioners working with us at Culmore Clinic! Wherever you are reading this right now, please give a big smile for:
