Welcome Maria Obeid, DNP, AGNP-BC, RN, CCRC to Culmore Clinic

Please join us in welcoming Maria Obeid, DNP, AGNP-BC, RN, CCRC to the Culmore Clinic family as Clinical Director.  We could not be more pleased to bring Maria on board to lead our clinical services in providing holistic care to a most vulnerable community. 

Maria is bilingual in Spanish and comes to us from the Inova Health System where she served as NP and Manager for their Fair Oaks Pre-Procedural Evaluation Clinic, which assesses and manages care for surgical patients.  Maria helped design and launch this critical clinic for Inova and provided direction, guidance, and mentorship to staff regarding clinical practice.  Prior to establishing and leading the Pre-procedural Evaluation Clinic, Maria was an NP in surgical services as well as a patient carenavigator for Inova.  In addition to her work with Inova, Maria is an NP for SimplySlim, where she assesses and develops treatment plans for patients seeking to lose weight.  She also co-founded the Clinical Research and Consulting Center where she was a Research Coordinator and Sub investigator on several research projects on topics ranging from diabetes, asthma, anemia, and cardiovascular risk factors.    

Maria is a home-town gal by way of way of Quito, Ecuador.  She emigrated to the DC metro area from Quito when she was 5 years old and grew up in Falls Church, where she attended George Mason High School, then went on to George Mason University for her undergraduate and graduate studies. What a blessing to bring these skills and experiences to the Bailey’s Crossroads community and Culmore Clinic!
